If you’ve been loving Prison Break on Direct.tv we’ve got your numberwe love it too! But on the off chance you’re out of episodes to watch (who isn’t?) we’ve got some other shows that are similar to the one and only Prison Break
Lost: If you didn’t get into Lost the first time around you’re in for a treat. This classic thriller/drama is now available in its entirety on DVD or on Demand which means you’ve got about 8 seasons of shows to catch up on.
The Walking Dead: It’s similar to Prison Break in its in-depth character assessments and there’s a lot of action, too. It’s set in rural Georgia which makes it the perfect transition for Prison Break fans and those just looking for a great show to get into!
Heroes: It’s since gone off the air but a lot of the Heroes demographic transitioned to watching Prison Break. It’s got all the twists and turns you’d expect from ABC and some supernatural stuff, too, which is what really makes it worth watching. Well, that and Hayden Panetierre.

Why did Fernando get buried alive? It’s a mystery! I truly believe bad things happen to good people, or in this case almost good people. Obviously for dramatic reasons, but never-the-less, Fernando was buried alive for trying to be the most amazing friend anyone could ever ask for. Prison pals or not, who wouldn’t want a friend to take a bullet, knife or literally buried alive for you? Maybe he (Fernando) feels as though this is his way of paying it back. Helping out whenever he’s needed to. Taking the risks that no one else would take, or putting himself in danger to save another life. Knowing of course, his own family would be lost forever with out him. The writers are portraying him in the most amazing way, a hero in disguise! Not with out faults but with a willingness to do better, period. Having enough of prison and constantly pushing Fernando over the edge is what is putting him in these situations and the writers couldn’t have done a better job. Fernando is by far my favorite character and that will never change. I’m always on the edge of seat when watching and that will probably never change.

There was a great deal of romance between Sara Tancredi and Michael Schofield on the show, Prison Break. The two first met when Michael was already in prison, and Sara was the doctor that was assigned to him. She would check him up and also was going to do another check up on him, before his brother’s execution. He managed to use her in a way that would get him the tools he needed to escape. At first their relationship was based on him using her, but once he got himself and his brother out of jail, he managed to get her on his side.I found some more information here.

He made her see why he had acted in the way that he did and why he had used her. She realized that they had been desperate and the brother was truly innocent, and did not deserve to be locked up. From then on, the two of them shared a dangerous romance that would put both their lives in danger. Sara became a target because people knew that by getting to her they could get to Michael and Lincoln, his brother. For the rest of the show, the two tried their best to save each other and stay alive themselves. Eventually, they had a baby together. When Michael passes away, Sara is shown at the grave with their child, and ultimately will have to raise the baby herself.

Rarely has the viewer experienced a character such as T-Bag. He is a villain at its best. He preys on young prisoners to fulfill his own sexual needs and doesn’t care who knows it. He is responsible for at least one of these young men’s suicides. Somehow he manages to weasel his way into Michael’s escape plan by sheer luck of good old eavesdropping. T-bag is the man viewers love to hate. When T-bags hand was chopped off with an axe by Abruzzi at the end of season 1 fans cheered!

Viewers do get to view a more seemingly human side of T-Bag through flashbacks such as the time he tried to live a somewhat normal life by establishing a relationship with a single mother, trying to be Cole Pfeiffer, respected salesman but he just couldn’t hack it.

In the end Michael lets the group decide what should happen to Theodore Bagwell and they vote to send him back to prison where he belongs and what he deserves. He was the only member of the Fox River Eight to be returned to prison.

In his final scenes though when he is portrayed whistling to a boy to hold his pocket and you see that old sadistic smile across his face it makes you wonder, is he being punished or enjoying being “King of the Prison” once again?

Throughout the course of the show there were many attempts to prove Lincoln Burrows was innocent of killing Terrence Steadman, the Vice-President-s brother. Michael obviously undertook the most dramatic attempt when he broke into Fox River State Penitentiary. That set into motion a series of events leading to the brothers- discovery of the audio file featuring Steadman-s reference to framing Lincoln. The audio file was proof of Lincoln-s innocence, and in “Sweet Caroline’ a deal was struck with President Reynolds to give him a full pardon. But after the Company intimidates Reynolds into resigning, the brothers were on the run to Panama.Didn-t catch that? This explains it.

Michael often manipulated and misdirected the other characters (including his allies) in his quest to prove his brother-s innocence. A breakthrough (finding the audio file) would be followed by another setback (the President resigning). Lincoln-s eventual exoneration comes courtesy of Kellerman. In “Sona’, the agent provides proof through testimony and documentation that Lincoln is innocent of the assassination; all charges against Lincoln (and Sarah) are dropped. In proving Lincoln-s innocence, it-s Kellerman himself who ends up being arrested after his evidence proves self-incriminating. Meanwhile, after the triumph of Lincoln-s exoneration and meeting up with Sarah, another setback occurs: Michael is incarcerated in Sona Prison.
